Use this handy 2 in 1 tool as a Wire Rounder to smooth off sharp or jagged edges on wire after cutting. But it also doubles as a Pin Vise, featuring two adjustable chucks which can accommodate up to 3mm wire for twisting! This set includes the wood top pin vise and two cup burs, inside diameters 1.20mm and 1.80mm. The chuck style ends make for easy replacement of worn out burs.

Why do I need this item?

This handy tool is great for twisting wire for designs, or when making jump rings. And the two adjustable chucks work great for holding Cup Burs used to smooth and round off sharp ends after cutting wire.

Great tool

This is all around a great tool. It quickly tightens and loosens and stays tight on wire and bit’s shanks. It spins freely. It’s light weight keeping the wear on your hands minimal. The bits also cut nicely. Great items. Only wish the adapters alloy for shanks One to two sizes bigger to fit more commonly available sized bits. Having said that, it’s nice having a compact tool with its adapters enclosed (that will hold tightly on even fine wire) I can throw in my travel tool box!

This is such a neat little tool. I haven't quite gotten the complete hang of it yet but for the most part I have and I love it!

Q: I’ve never had one of these, and the little wooden handle isn’t connected tightly and wiggles and turns freely- nor can it be tightened. Is it defective?

A: Not at all - in fact, this tool is working correctly by your description! Pin vises are fun and really take the fatigue out of your hands when used.
To do this you would take the wooden end of the tool and seat it right into the center of your dominant hand. Now you take your fingers and hold onto the metal shaft and twist the rod around! (yes, this is also why the metal is cross-hatched here, it increases the contact surface and so increases the grip you have when using it!).
We're sure that you've also noticed that the tip of the pin vise opens and closes when turned independently of the rest of the tool; this is so you can place the ends of the wire you wish to twist into the clamp and then twist the tip the opposite way to close this clamp (and securing your wire). When you go to twist the pin vise as described above, you'll notice that you get a consistent twist in your wire.

Q: I already have a set of micro drill bits of different shank sizes. What shank diameters does this product accept and hold securely?

A: The burs have a 3/32" shank.
